Oktoberfest at Southern Appalachian Brewing- Tuesday, September 24th

Head over to Southern Appalachian Brewing to celebrate their 12th annual Oktoberfest! Entry fees are just $10, and anyone under 21 gets in free.

With music from Mountain Top Polk Band, German food from Haus Heidelberg and Underground Baking Company, and of course lots of great craft beverages, you won’t want to miss out!

There will also be Dachshund dog races with proceeds benefitting the Blue Ridge Humane Society, a Stein Hoist competition, costume contests and more!

The festivities start at 1PM and will go until 7PM. Southern Appalachian Brewing is located at 882 Locust Street, Suite 100, Hendersonville, NC 28792

Fine Art on Main – Saturday September 28th – Sunday September 29th

The Arts Council of Henderson County presents the 65th annual Art on Main fine art and fine craft festival. Take a stroll through all kinds of different art and watch artists create their masterpieces in real time!

Art on Main is a juried and judged fine art and fine craft show which brings high quality local and regional artist vendors to Hendersonville, NC, with works in clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, wood, paintings, photography, and more. Fine Art on Main takes place along the Downtown Hendersonville stretch on Main Street, from 10AM – 5PM both days.

Farm City Day – Saturday, October 5th

Henderson County’s Farm City Day, which began in 1955, is a free event held annually on the first Saturday in October. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., around 50 acres of Jackson Park transform into a vibrant celebration featuring a petting zoo, urban and rural displays, antique and modern farm equipment, and a variety of crafters from different generations. This event honors our rural heritage and offers an opportunity for urban visitors to connect with agriculture, our most vital industry.

The youth area will be buzzing with activities like petting farm animals, participating in old-time demonstrations, and enjoying a fishing pond. There will be children’s games and a wagon ride through the park. Entertainment includes the ‘Local Artist Showcase Stage,’ featuring performances by three local bands throughout the day. Additionally, local non-profit organizations will have food and displays set up across two fields. Farm City Day will take place at Jackson Park, located at 640 Glover Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792.

Flat Rock Farmer’s Market – Weekly on Thursdays

Flat Rock, NC hosts their farmer’s market weekly on Thursdays from 3-6PM at the Pinecrest ARP Church, located at 1790 Greenville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Join in on Thursday, September 26th, and October 3rd for local produce, hand-made goods and other treats!

Hendersonville, NC hosts their farmer’s market weekly on Saturdays from 8AM-1PM, which takes place at the Historic Train Depot in downtown Hendersonville’s Seventh Avenue District, located at 650 Maple Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
