Kate brings a hands-on, solutions-focused approach to real estate, shaped by eight years in operations and procurement with Asheville’s beloved Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn. During her time there, she helped grow the company from a retail storefront into a 50,000-square-foot production operation, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, communication, and managing complex projects with care and precision.

Kate has a strong eye for design and a deep appreciation for well-built spaces, but more than anything, she believes a home should feel like your sanctuary — a place to recharge, connect, and truly live. With a great sense of humor and a down-to-earth personality, she enjoys making the buying and selling process feel fun and manageable while still getting the job done.

A Western North Carolina native, Kate has called Yancey, Buncombe, and Henderson counties home for more than 35 years. She now lives in Flat Rock where she and her husband, James, spend most of their free time as cheerleaders and on-demand concierge services to their teenage daughter, Laurel — a role Kate considers one of life’s greatest privileges.
