Born and raised in New England and transplanted to North Carolina, Ashley Sandahl has the perfect combination of northeastern tenacity and southern hospitality. As a second generation Realtor® and Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) she has a special understanding of the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers ages 55 and older. Since the age of 5, Ashley has been an avid horse owner and rider; her heart, as well as vast experience, lay with the sale of equestrian properties. With all of the horse-related perks that Tryon Horse County and the Carolina Foothills have to offer, it was a no-brainer for her to relocate to this area.
Ashley moved here to WNC in 2015 from Cape Cod, MA on a whim. She was looking for a funky, foodie, dog/horse-friendly mountain town that wasn’t too cold or far from the east coast. The plan was never to stay, but Saluda has since become the small town she always dreamed of. Ashley is now greatly involved in her community in many ways: She recently played the lead role in a play at Mountain page Theatre, she cooks breakfast for the Veterans in Saluda every month at the Saluda Fire Station, she is on the board of Saluda Living In Place (SLIP), she will be volunteering with the YAK (Young Actors Krew) after school program this year, and she has recently started her own 501(c)(3) non-profit called Excuse Us While We Succeed, which is dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs open their own businesses and thrive.
Ashley’s little sidekick, her 4-year-old daughter Nora, is her pride and joy. Before motherhood, Ashley was a keen adventurer and looks forward to days of snowboarding, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and mountain biking with Nora. Ashley and Nora love to spend their days outside with their black lab, appreciating the beauty of Saluda’s forests and rivers, and being stewards of this beautiful earth.
