Margie Smith brings a lifetime of diverse experience to her real estate practice and can skillfully walk you through either process, keeping stress to a minimum. She understands the importance of transparency and clear timely communication over the course of the transaction. Margie has a BS in Architecture and Urban Planning from City College of New York and worked in that field for several years before venturing out into broadcast media where she was an editor, camera person and producer.

A native of Brooklyn, New York and then longtime resident of Philadelphia, she relocated to Western North Carolina in 2015 to be closer to family who had already made the move. She presently resides in Swannanoa with her husband Todd and dog Larry. Her son Ben, a graduate of UNCA, is a firefighter with the Swannanoa Fire Department. When she is not working with clients, Margie spends time supporting all the live music Asheville has to offer, deepening her yoga practice and trying not to get lost in the woods.
