Steven’s life is a tale of passion, perseverance, and purpose. Born and raised amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, Steven developed a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong work ethic from an early age. Growing up on a ranch, he learned the value of hard work and determination while tending to horses and cattle, participating in sports, and immersing himself in a myriad of extracurricular activities.

His journey into the world of real estate began with a profound desire to find his own piece of paradise—a place where he could escape the hustle and bustle of city life, immerse himself in the tranquility of nature, homestead, garden and someday homeschool his children. In 2014, after years of dreaming and searching, Steven’s quest led him to Burnsville, a picturesque town nestled amidst the mountains of Western North Carolina.

It was here that Steven discovered a hidden gem—a secluded retreat that captured his heart from the moment he laid eyes on it. Surrounded by lush forests and panoramic mountain views, the property seemed to embody everything he had ever hoped for in a home. With its promise of peace, serenity, and endless possibilities, Steven knew that this was the place he had been searching for.

However, fate seemed to have other plans, as the property went under contract with another buyer shortly after Steven discovered it. Disheartened but undeterred, Steven continued his search, hoping to find a place that could rival the beauty and serenity of the home he had lost.

Then, one day, months later, fate intervened once again. While scouring the internet for listings, Steven stumbled upon familiar photos—the property he had fallen in love with was back on the market! Without hesitation, he reached out to his agent in Asheville and expressed his desire to revisit the property and submit an offer. And so, after a whirlwind of negotiations and paperwork, the house that had captured Steven’s imagination became his own.

In the 9 years that followed, Steven poured his energy into transforming his home and property into a haven of self-sufficiency and sustainability. From planting fruit trees and tending gardens, to installing a solar system and clearing trails through the forest, Steven’s vision for his off-grid sanctuary began to take shape.

It was during this time that Steven’s entrepreneurial spirit took flight. Inspired by his passion for sustainable living and community engagement, Steven purchased 5 acres across the street from his home and founded Treehouse Farms; an organic vegetable farm dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and connecting communities with locally grown produce. Through his work at Treehouse Farms, Steven sought to not only cultivate nutritious food but also to foster connections within the community and inspire others to embrace a more sustainable way of life. His work lives on through Seven Seeds Farm, who now run their own organic farm and CSA on this land that he developed.

In addition to his work with Treehouse Farms, Steven also co-founded Fox and Beaux Boutique, a downtown Asheville establishment specializing in custom wedding rings and artisanal jewelry. They are now one of the highest rated custom ring designers and jewelry stores in Asheville. Through his endeavors, Steven continued to channel his creativity and passion for entrepreneurship, creating thriving businesses that enriched the lives of those around him.

Today, Steven’s journey has come full circle as he channels his passion for real estate into helping others find their own slice of paradise in Western North Carolina. Changed from the blessings, freedom and peace home ownership provided in his own life, he is now determined to help others pursue their real estate dreams, whatever they may be.
