The 23rd Annual Tulip Extravaganza – March 18th – April 30th

Spring is arriving in downtown Hendersonville, bringing with it a vibrant display of 8,000-10,000 tulips in full bloom along Main Street. The 23rd Annual Tulip Extravaganza, sponsored by Narnia Studios, celebrates the beauty of the season with a month of colorful shopping, dining, and special events from late March through April 30. Local businesses will welcome spring with tulip-themed window displays, seasonal specials, and sidewalk sales on April 11-12. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through downtown, enjoy the floral displays, and bring out-of-town guests to experience the charm of Hendersonville in bloom.

Chainsaw Safety Course – Thursday, April 24th

5:30PM-7:30PM, FIND Outdoors is excited to host a FREE chainsaw safety course, presented by STIHL in our community space within our headquarters in Pisgah Forest, NC. Attendees will learn:
The operator’s PPE (what to wear, what not to wear, OSHA requirements and further recommendations
Chainsaw features and functions. (Safety features, how to use, when to use, etc)
Basic Operation (How to start, how to hold, how to make basic cuts, reactive forces)
Basic Maintenance (Chain sharpening, chain replacement, air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs)
Advanced registration is requested.
Henderson County Hikes – Jackson Park – Friday, April 25th

Henderson County Parks and Recreation is offering guided hiking opportunities. This month is the Jackson Park hike! Join as we safely explore, learn, and exercise! This is an inclusive program; however, the hikes will vary in difficulty. This is a free program, Registration Required.
Trailheads can be difficult to find. At 9am on the day of the community hike, participants will be asked to meet at: 708 S Grove Street Hendersonville, NC 28792
The group will then caravan to the trailhead! During the program we will discuss wildlife, hike etiquette and the use of mobile applications in remote settings. Please note that these programs are subject to weather. Call (828) 845-5780 the day of the hike if you are concerned the hike will be canceled.
Important items that participants need to bring: Sunscreen, Closed Toed Shoes, Water, Snacks
35th Annual Spring Herb Festival – Friday, April 25th – Sunday, April 27th

Join at the WNC Agricultural Center Friday – Sunday, April 25, 26,& 27, 2025 for the Annual Spring Herb Festival, the largest herb festival in the United States and Canada! Carolina Concert Choir Presents: Romance in Music – Friday, April 25th – Saturday, April 26th

Join the Carolina Concert Choir on Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm or Saturday, April 26 at 3:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church as they present Romance in Music for chorus and piano featuring music by Brahms, Guastavion, and Lauridsen. Music and choir conducted by Artistic Director, Dr. Michael Lancaster with pianist, Dr. Lillian Pearson.
Tickets are available at the Hendersonville Welcome Center or at the day of the concert at the door. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students (checks or cash)
She Slays 5k – Saturday, April 26th

8AM-10AM, This event is all about celebrating the strength, courage, and fierce determination of women fighting cancer. Whether you walk or run, you’re making a difference for those who are in the midst of this battle. This event aims to empower people to take charge of their health and well-being, while also raising funds for Hendersonville women who are fighting cancer. While this event supports women with cancer, everyone is welcome to register to participate!
The 5K course will start and finish at the Pardee Cancer Center in Hendersonville, NC. Participants will traverse a picturesque route, meandering along historic streets that wind through the inviting neighborhoods of this community. This is a professionally chip-timed race with awards and prizes for top finishers. This race is a celebration of the human spirit, where the emphasis goes beyond finish times and embodies the courage it takes to rise in the face of a challenge.
From the Earth Festival – Saturday, April 26th

11AM-6PM, Introducing BRAM’s first From the Earth Festival! They are teaming up with Trailside Brewing Co., Ecusta Market, and The Lennox Station to celebrate our beautiful earth on April 26th from 11AM to 6PM!
What to expect: Food & Drink: Grab a drink from @trailside Brewing while you browse the vendors. Tasty food on-site from multiple food trucks, sweet vendors, and the Ecusta Market. 40 earth-friendly vendors: Local non-profits like Conserving Carolina and Mills River Partnership. Tantalize your taste buds in the vineyards and orchards of the Blue Ridge Mountains during this weekend celebration of Hendersonville’s wine, cider and dining scenes. Dates for this year’s Cider, Wine & Dine Weekend are May 2-4, 2025.
More than 40 events take place throughout the weekend including artisan hard cider tastings, wine releases, food pairings, wine dinners, educational programs, live music, vineyard tours and more. Hike & Sip Tour @ Souther Williams Vineyard – Friday, May 2nd

Spring Open Horse Show @ North River Farms – Saturday, May 3rd

Join at Mills River Day at North River Farms in Mills River to kick off our 2025 Show Season! The Spring Open Horse Show is the kick off for the Open Horse Show Championship Series with Davis Ranch, Etowah Riding Club, Magical Moments Therapeutic Riding Center and Riding for Buckles this year!
We welcome ALL ages and levels of riding. Our shows are open to anyone who would like to participate and attend, these shows are great for beginners and kids as well! It’s free for spectators (recommend bringing chairs) and $10 for participants. You can sign up for classes online or on the day of, but cash only day of the show. Gates open at 8 a.m. and the show starts at 10 a.m. Mary Barker will be our photographer at both shows – she does absolutely beautiful work! Davis Ranch is partnering with Etowah Riding Club this year to present an open show series with championship classes and high-point end-of-year awards in youth and adult divisions. Mills River Day – Saturday, May 3rd

Join on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at North River Farms (3333 North Mills River Rd., Mills River, NC 28759) for Mills River Day, a free-to-attend large-scale community event that highlights agriculture, natural resource management, water quality, and the talents and related businesses in and around the Mills River Community. It features live music, vendors, food trucks, a kid zone with bounce houses, a tractor show, a horse show, a farm tour, hands-on activities, and more!
7th Avenue Street Fest – Saturday, May 3rd

Join for the 7th Avenue Street Fest on Saturday, May 3, from noon to 5 PM as we celebrate the grand opening of the newly refreshed 7th Avenue District! There will be live music, local vendors, the ArtScape Banner Reveal and the community ribbon cutting ceremony.

Walking Tour and Wine Tasting at Marked Tree Vineyard – Weekly Fridays-Sundays

Get your steps in with a guided walking tour and tasting! Enjoy a seasonal wine tasting as you stroll through the vines and get an exclusive sneak peek of the new production facility. Learn about the history of Marked Tree and how the vineyard transforms with the changing seasons. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and we’ll provide the open vistas! The tour lasts about 30-45 minutes, a perfect way to start your day! (Weather permitting.)
$45 per person and it comes with a seasonal tasting. Friday through Sunday at 12pm. Reservations required.
Jump Off Rock Half Marathon & 10K – Saturday, May 10th

Experience the Jump Off Rock Half Marathon and 10k presented by Hunter Subaru and UNC Health Pardee. Each mile is packed with local charm and every stride brings you face-to-face with Hendersonville’s beautiful landscapes and historic treasures. This is more than just an endurance race—it’s a visual journey through picturesque spots like the breathtaking Jump Off Rock, the serene Osceola Lake, and the charming streets of downtown Hendersonville. Whether you’re tackling the half marathon or the 10k, every step offers something special.
The point-to-point, half marathon begins at Jump off Rock, a national landmark and the Town of Laurel Park’s highest peak. The route descends for several miles where it passes the start of the point-to-point 10K course. Together, both routes will travel through neighborhoods with gentle hills and around Lake Osceola before finishing on Main Street in historic Hendersonville, North Carolina. The half marathon will have 4 fully stocked water stations while the 10K will have 2. Each station will have Gatorade, Water, and JAMBARS.
