North Carolina Apple Festival – Friday, August 29th – Monday, September 2nd

You don’t want to miss out on North Carolina’s Apple Festival! Celebrate and honor this huge local crop with fun for all ages. Food, music, games, vendors, parades and more await on this wonderful 4-day event.

Featuring these amazing bands throughout the weekend: Buddy K Big Band, Catalina’s Party Band, and The Mighty Kicks.

This event is free and open to the public all weekend long! The Apple Festival is also welcoming Roy Williams, former esteemed basketball coach at UNC – Chapel Hill, and his wife, Wanda, as this year’s King parade Grand Marshals.

Rhythm n’ Brews Concert in Downtown Hendersonville, NC – Thursday, September 19th

The Rhythm & Brews Concert Series is a vibrant fusion of live music, local craft beverages, and community spirit! These lively performances occur monthly, transforming a section of South Main Street into a hub of entertainment. A variety of local food trucks will be on site to make snacking or grabbing dinner a breeze.

The festivities kick off with an opening act at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Headliner from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This month’s performers are Vaden Landers, and the Mattocks-Johnson Band, who are bringing the groove of blues and rock n’ roll to Downtown Hendersonville!

Adults can savor a selection of Henderson County’s finest beverages from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Bold Rock Hard Cider, Guidon Brewing Co., Oklawaha Brewing Co., Dry Falls Brewery, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, and Flat Rock Cider Company.

For the young ones, the Hendersonville Honeycrisps & Hendersonville Toy Company Kid Zone will bring kid-friendly entertainment, including hula-hooping, activities, and games.

The British Car Club of Western North Carolina – Saturday, September 21st

The 24th Annual Autumn in the Mountains Car Show will showcase British and European marques manufactured in the British Isles and Europe. They will also be celebrating their 30 year anniversary! The show starts at 9:00 AM and will last until 3:30 PM. Food and adult beverages will be available as well. Come and take a look at classic and unique cars alike. This event is being held at Mills River Brewing, 336 Banner Farm Road, Mills River, NC 28759.

Chimney Rock’s “Flock to the Rock” – Saturday, September 21st

Break out the binoculars and get ready for this annual feathered frenzy. Flock to the Rock was designed so birders of all skill sets can enjoy one of the country’s fastest growing hobbies – bird watching! This event is held during fall migration for birds and monarch butterflies. As a spot on the NC Birding Trail and a Monarch Waystation, there’s no better place than Chimney Rock to experience these incredible natural phenomena.

Cost is included with the price of park admission. This event will take place from 10AM – 3PM at Chimney Rock, 431 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC 2872

Bring the whole family for live raptor programs, bird and pollinator activities, intro to birding hikes, and the annual hawk watch from the Chimney. This year celebrates 16 amazing years of Flock to the Rock!

Flat Rock Farmer’s Market – Weekly on Thursdays

Flat Rock, NC hosts their farmer’s market weekly on Thursdays from 3-6PM at the Pinecrest ARP Church, located at 1790 Greenville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Join in on Thursday, August 29th, and September 5th, 12th and 19th for local produce, hand-made goods and other treats!

Hendersonville Farmer’s Market – Weekly on Saturdays

Hendersonville, NC hosts their farmer’s market weekly on Saturdays from 8AM-1PM, which takes place at the Historic Train Depot in downtown Hendersonville’s Seventh Avenue District, located at 650 Maple Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Join in on Saturday, August 28th, and September 7th, 14th and 21st for local produce, hand-made goods, and other treats!

Mill’s River Farmer’s Market – Weekly on Saturdays

Mills River, NC hosts their farmer’s market weekly on Saturdays from 8AM-12PM, which takes place at the Mills River Elementary School, located at 94 School House Road, Mills River, NC 28759. Join in on Saturday, August 28th, and September 7th, 14th and 21st for local produce, hand-made goods, and other treats!
