Ballroom Dance Group Lessons and Social Dancing – Mondays at 7 PM

Head to the DFR Lounge located at 44 East Main Street in Brevard for an hour of ballroom dance lessons, followed by social dancing! The cost to attend is $20 and this event is held every Monday.

TailChaser250 at Deerwoode Reserve – April 18 through April 20

The 2025 TC 250 will again be enjoying the amazing venue, views, and location of the Deerwoode Reserve as our host and home base for the event! Baby & Toddler Playdate – Tuesdays from 9AM to 12PM

This weekly gathering is the perfect opportunity for little ones to explore the outdoors in a space designed just for them, while parents can relax, connect, and enjoy the morning together.

Sip on a fresh-brewed coffee or indulge in a delicious snack from Brew Cycle and 99’ Ice Cream Bar, knowing your kiddos are having a blast in a safe and engaging environment. Plus, enjoy a free kids’ steamer with the purchase of any adult drink!

OIL PAINTING III WORKSHOP WITH BARBARA FRYEFIELD – Tuesday, April 22 from 10AM to 2PM

This class is designed for painters who have been instructed in preparing canvas, color mixing, composition, value, basic shapes, and drawing. The level of students would be Intermediate to Advanced.

Students will learn how to set up a still life, lighting, and filling in basic shapes with correct color selection and value. Lectures will cover shadow areas, reflections, and background selection to complete a painting. Relax and have fun in our non-judgmental, supportive art class. Each student will work at their own pace and will have personal attention in each class. All students should complete 2 or more original paintings. Discussions of realism, impressionism, and other styles of painting are encouraged. Any medium is acceptable to use, however application is primarily for oil. Click here for more information!

Do you love staring at topography lines and imagining the adventures ahead of you? Do you find maps fascinating? This event is for you! Join The Pisgah Conservancy and Pisgah Map Company for a conversation about mapmaking and trail/route projects in the forest and beyond! This event is part of a month-long partnership with Pisgah Coffee Roasters. For April, 50% of sales of the ‘Ranger Roast’ blend benefit The Pisgah Conservancy.

Trailside Market at The Yard – Every Thursday at 4PM

Join the community from March through October, at The Yard, for a Trailside Market! Discover a vibrant gathering of local farmers, producers, and artisans offering fresh goods and handcrafted treasures. Chainsaw Safety Course, Presented by STIHL

FIND Outdoors is excited to host a chainsaw safety course, presented by STIHL, in our community space within our headquarters in Pisgah Forest, NC. Attendees will learn:

• The operator’s PPE (what to wear, what not to wear, OSHA requirements, and further recommendations
• Chainsaw features and functions. (Safety features, how to use, when to use, etc)
• Basic Operation (How to start, how to hold, how to make basic cuts, reactive forces)
• Basic Maintenance (Chain sharpening, chain replacement, air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs)

This event is free, but pre-registration is requested.

Luft Wasser Porsche Celebration – Saturday, April 26 from 10AM to 2PM

ome and enjoy the Appalachian Region of the Porsche Club of America at the eighth Annual Luft Wasser™ Porsche Celebration in Brevard, North Carolina on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Over 200 Porsches will be arriving in downtown Brevard between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and will be on display on Broad Street until 2:00 p.m.

Outdoor Bluegrass Jam and Community Potluck – Saturdays from 2 PM to 4 PM

From the Cedar Mountain Canteen: This jam will cater to musicians who love Bluegrass music, in its traditional and non-trad styles. We will focus on songs that feature vocal melodies, harmonies and instrumental breaks. Typical instrumentation includes guitars, banjos, mandolins, resophonic guitars (Dobros), fiddles, and a bass, but we welcome other instruments like the dulcimer, ukulele, harmonica and autoharp, too. *This is a ZERO WASTE event, so bring what you need from home!*
