Appalachian Folk Festival – Saturday, June 29th
This event, hosted by the Transylvania Heritage Museum is the 3rd Annual Appalachian Folk Festival on Saturday, June 29th at the Allison Deaver House in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. Various performers take the stage including the Pearls, the J Creek Cloggers featuring Zeb Ross, and Appalachian Blues artist Laura Blackley. In addition to the live music, guests can stroll through artisan booths, browse historical displays, tour the 1815 Allison Deaver House, and participate in activities suitable for everyone to enjoy!
This is a free event; guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit back and enjoy the festivities!
Shindig on Main – Thursday, July 4th
Join the Heart of Brevard on July 4th for an evening of fun- head over to East Main Street in Downtown Brevard at 4 PM for live music, food trucks, and family fun! As the fun begins to wind down, at approximately 9:30 PM, the fireworks show will begin as they are launched from Brevard College. The fireworks are visible from Main Street, Jailhouse Hill, and Brevard College Campus. This is an annual event hosted by the Heart of Brevard.

Summer Concert Series – Fridays at 7:30 PM
The Summer Concert Series is held annually at the Transylvania County Library amphitheater at 212 S Gaston Street. Swing by and enjoy local and regional artists for an evening of fun. Join Drew Foust + The Wheelhouse on June 21st and His + Hers on June 28th.
Transylvania Farmers Market – Weekly on Saturdays
The Transylvania Farmers Market is a local favorite in Downtown Brevard. Held every Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM (10 AM November through April) at 200 East Main Street. Browse several local vendors for handmade and baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, live music, and more! Check out the vendor schedule here.
